D UPONT Fluorochemicals (DuPont) has announced the addition of Opteon XP 40 (R-449a) and Opteon XP10 (R-513A) in the updated version of the software Bitzer Kühlmaschinenbau GmbH (Sindelfingen , Germany), for the selection of semi-hermetic reciprocating and screw, accessible at the following link: https://www.bitzer.de/websoftware.
I COOLANTS. Opteon XP 40 is a new refrigerant optimized, low GWP and nonflammable, able to replace R-404A and R-507. Compared to R-404A, Opteon® XP 40 offers a GWP of less than 60% and higher energy efficiency by 10%. Opteon XP10 is a new optimized refrigerant, which has non-flammable and azeotropic properties and performance similar to those of R-134a, but a GWP of less than 55%.

McCord, global business director, DuPont Fluorochemicals. “The inclusion of XP 40 and XP10 is the final stage of approval by BITZER of such low GWP refrigerants for its compressors and promote its use for the refrigeration and other applications.
