Apple’s OS X software has been the most vulnerable of 2015 , at least according to CVE Details , which organized the data provided by the National Vulnerability Database (NVD).
Immediately after the operating system of the Mac, it being 384 vulnerabilities, square iOS , another software Cupertino who in 2015 reported 375 vulnerabilities. In third place we find Adobe Flash Player with 314 vulnerabilities. In fourth and fifth place respectively are Adobe AIR SDK, with 246 vulnerabilities, and Adobe AIR, with 246 vulnerabilities.
Last year in the top five were (in order), Microsoft’s Internet Explorer , Mac OS X, the Linux kernel, Google Chrome and iOS.
Here is a list with the top 50 most vulnerable software of 2015 .
From the ranking we note that the Windows versions, compared to Apple’s OS X, are divided by release. The Linux kernel is separated into various distributions while the various versions of iOS and Android are enclosed under one heading.
The ranking of companies with the software more vulnerable in 2015 is headed by Microsoft, followed by Adobe and Apple.
Keep in mind that technology companies have different communication policies when it comes to exposing security issues. The data reported vulnerabilities in CVE Details are, in fact, only those known to the public.
