DETROIT (Reuters) – Fiat Chrysler (FCHA.MI: Quote) has initiated a voluntary recall in the United States of about 1.4 million vehicles, with a particular radio, for a software update.
The call will protect vehicles from the manipulation remote that, if unauthorized, is a crime.
Meanwhile, the NHTSA, the authority on road safety in the United States, will open an investigation to see if the solution proposed by Fca will effectively protect your car from hackers. The authorities welcomed the voluntary recall of Fiat and advised consumers to follow the instructions given by the Turin as soon as possible to fix the software.
The title in New York worsened and yields 2.06% following the news. In Milan it closed down 1.96%.
