13:23 – Facebook aims to “hold on” the young intercepting slang and idioms emerging. The social network has patented software that “sift” the entire platform in search of all the most widespread among users, which will then be saved in a special glossary. The software will have the task of analyzing every word used in posts and comments to decipher the specific significance to be attached to a group of people.

social Glossary – according to the magazine Business Insider , the software will also consider other factors, such as geographic location and language. It is not clear in what way Facebook will use this “company glossary”. One possible application would be the development of a predictive program on texts including slang terms not found in their dictionary.

Point to young people – The linguistic experiment, according the leaders of the social network, it might be helpful to increase the appeal of the platform towards the adolescents.
