Radeon Software Crimson 16.4.1, AMD thinks about Quantum Break – Tom’s Hardware

AMD has published drivers Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.4.1 dedicated to Quantum Break , the new title of Remedy Entertainment in half between TV series and action game. According to the US company’s new release, compared to 16.3.2, provides a performance increase with the game up to 35% on a system with Radeon R9 Fury X.


 
 
 
 

The Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.4.1 are also compatible with the Oculus Rift virtual reality viewers and HTC Vive. The company has also fixed two bugs , in particular a problem that limits the frame rate in some DirectX 12 titles and the appearance of flickering (flickering) with the game Hitman for DirectX 11 with high settings for the parameter of the shadows.

 
 

The longer the list of known bugs, but not yet resolved, with problems of various kinds, ranging from flickering in The Division and Need For Speed, to crash with XCOM2, in all cases in CrossFire mode. AMD also reported that the fan of a small subset of R9 380 could not run at the correct speed . The company recommends to the holders of the card to monitor temperatures and fan: in case of problems you can increase the fan rotation speed by AMD Overdrive within Radeon Settings.
