Cisco: new opportunities in software – Digitalic

At the Partner Summit, it was announced the new Cisco Software Partner Program that supports existing and new partners to seize new business opportunities and developing skills on the software. This program provides resources, incentives, benefits and advantages to exploit the great opportunities offered today by the software.

In addition, the new Software Partner Program introduces new roles that partners can take inside Cisco Partner Ecosystem to increase the skills and monetize their business tied to the software with Cisco. The new roles include:

· Software Lifecycle Advisor : a lifecycle advisor helps customers understand how to adopt, use and better manage their software and services, at the same time maximizing returns Investment in software solutions for Cisco. These partners offer services lifecycle management, and expand the opportunities driving the adoption of software from clients and the possibilities for growth in sales thanks to the offerings of Cisco software. As a result, partners can strengthen their relationship with customers positioning itself as a trusted advisor and increase loyalty.

· Software Consultant : This role provides business strategy and management services to order to help customers maximize the value thanks to Cisco. The consultants provide professional services to review the business operations of customers, identifying areas for improvement, setting goals and metrics provided and adopting the software in Cisco solutions. Often, in vertical markets, the consultants offer of transformational services, such as change management.

· Software Integrator : This role identifies a result of business expected by the customer and then create a customized solution using the software Cisco, third-party software and intellectual property partner. The Software integrators integrate services to build a customized solution in the customer environment. The result for the partners will be to increase the integration and the opportunities for professional services.

As part of the process of engagement, partners need to support a process of qualification with final validation. They must also demonstrate business knowledge and technology to the specific software offerings Cisco. The certification paths for Lifecycle Advisor, Consultant, and / or Software Integrator will be available from early 2016.
