‘Use of open source software gis qgis': a training … – FoggiaToday

The QGis is a desktop GIS Open Source very powerful and simple to use, the user interface and functions similar to the release of commercial GIS packages equivalent, and therefore allows you to extract, update, create and produce customized maps georeferenced and high quality designs. It runs on Linux, Unix, Mac OSX, Windows and Android and supports numerous vector, raster, and various database formats.

AIM

L ‘ aim of the course is to learn how to use advanced software QGis (compatible with the format of ESRI ArcView shapefiles) acquiring knowledge and skills needed to operate independently in the management and digitization of its cartography, to facilitate the realization of cartographic and broaden their professional fields.

WHO ‘FACING

The course is aimed at professionals (Engineers, Architects, Surveyors, Agronomists , geologists, etc …), technicians of public administrations, college students, high school teachers and in general to all those who plan to expand their knowledge in terms of management and planning.

A.FO.RI.S. has started the procedures for the recognition of credits of professional interest.

HOW ‘PARTICIPATION

The participation in the course will include a contribution 300 € (excluding VAT), last 25 hours total (n. 14 Training and n. 11 hours of practical exercises), will be held in days of 16- 17-18 June 2015 at the headquarters of A.FO.RI.S. Via Fraccacreta, 68 – Foggia.

For your information, it is anticipated that the course will activate only the minimum number of 10 members; the maximum number of participants is 15.

Requests for pre-accession must be sent no later than the 15th / 05/2015 .
