Dark Souls II – The boss of the best RPG of From Software – Multiplayer.it

No one can avoid the parable of disappointment and annoyance of some towards a brand when the same becomes much, much more than expected. It is a mechanism that grinds forum and blog who knows very well: ghosts, assumptions inordinate attention come together to conspiracy overstatements and what should only be analyzed as such starts to be gutted deep looking for anything that should not go. The Souls are repetitive, boring, the level of challenge is unique mirror of the existing level and not the skill of the player, the frustration is the victim of controls and gameplay features not ideal: the alleged criticism of the hater are endless because From Software has managed to bring to the next level a franchise began as a joke and made of worship – perhaps this is – thanks to bugs, hardness of mechanical and cumbersome nature of animation and combat system. Things have evolved a lot with the ‘ advance experience and technologies available, but the mainstay of every episode marked an unmistakable mold factory “Souls-like” is undoubtedly represented by the boss, which we love to make a list of the most interesting and significant.

Astraea and Garl Vinland – Demon’s Souls

Definitely not more difficult but certainly the most fascinating of the clashes of the whole saga, the one with Astraea is more a meeting than anything else. It is said that the Lady Astrea, after discovering the truth about the divine plan has embarked on a journey to the edge of the Valley of Despair to give relief to the abandoned. Garl Vinland is the one who protects and loves; Knight has chosen to follow in the Valley to help bring peace and quiet to the suffering. What makes this confrontation wonderful addition to the wonderful soundtrack signed by Motoi Sakuraba, is just frustration that test in the player being forced to kill Astraea, clearly helpless, which is a symbol of purity and clerical spirit.

Old King Allant and the Old – Demon’s Souls

Those who come to the court of the king the first time think you are facing the real Allant, but no. After invoking the powers of the Ancient and be completely subjugated rhymed, what the player is as fearsome opponent is nothing but a demon with the appearance of the king in his heyday. As well as being a clash memorable in itself, the real boss – in the sense of lore – it is next to the Old, one of the old demons in circulation and holder of the power of magic and miracles. Inside lives the true King Allant now consumed, unrecognizable and at the mercy of the player, who can decide whether to save the world of the Old Boletaria doing back to sleep or become in turn one of the Monumental.

Falange – Demon’s Souls

We know that everything you expected except the Falange, but our choice is purely affective: it is the first real boss of Souls (yes, I know that the first is Vanguard, but you understand) met on that hot June of 2010, so it is normal for us to remember him with great pleasure. It is the baptism of fire in the world of Demon’s Souls, this unexpected wall of difficulty that hit like a punch in the face anyone who had approached the curious title of Miyazaki. As the name suggests, Phalanx is a dark blob composed in turn by hoplites, capable of regenerating energy with the passage of time. Nothing particularly nice, but when we think of the Palace of Boletaria and the game in general, the first thought goes to the dear old Falange.

Sif, the Great Wolf Grey – Dark Souls

We do not know how many of you have played the DLC, but we reveal a secret that made us move and that thanks to it that is to Sif first place in the podium if you will be so good as to enable a trigger in the Abyss, one of the areas of Artorias of the Abyss, the scene interlude before the clash with Sif, for poetry and characterization, is almost equal to un’epicità battle with Astraea. Sif is the wolf of Artorias, knight in his company faced the Abyss venendone wrapped; the arena is its tomb Artorias and as such it evokes all the beauty and sadness at the same time and in equal measure. Again, the title puts the player in front of forced choices but difficult as they involve non-player really inspired by aesthetic and background.

Ornstein and Smough – Dark Souls

Knights of Gwyn, left to protect Anor Londo after his departure . In addition to representing the artistic peak of a location already wonderful and extremely inspired, the battle in pairs is made even more epic if we are so clever as to evoke Solaire, making everything a fight two against two of rare beauty. From Software further raises the bar in psychological characterization of the duo, differentiating enormously their background and their reactions based on which of them is made out to first. On the one hand Ornstein, loyal captain of the four horsemen of Anor Londo, that in case of death of Smough pray for absorbing qualities; other Smough, fierce and ruthless executioner, who in the face of defeat will Ornstein himself, taking the opportunity, to get it off forever.

Seath the Senzascaglie – Dark Souls

Seath is the only boss that meets twice, in wherein the first without hopes for the player. Duke appointed to the betrayal of his brothers in favor of Gwyn, from time immemorial Seath continues his search for immortality flakes. The clash with Seath, besides the beauty of the setting and the icy invisible path that goes to the den, is made unique by its ability to curse with ease. The dragon will continue to regenerate their energy unless it is destroyed the Crystal Primordial to limit section, stolen from Seath to his brothers in the war against the dragons.

Dragon Ancient – Dark Souls 2

Once again, a wonderful character culminates an even more excellent setting. The Sanctuary of the Dragon is one of the peaks of all the aesthetic and chromatic franchise and From Software has chosen to omaggiarne completion by inserting a non-boss boss curiously mysterious as neutral to the player. The Dragon will help us, providing us with the element to advance and delve deeper into the mysteries of Drangleic, but like any non-player character can be attacked. The uncertain past, seems increasingly credited the idea that it is not really a dragon blood as designed by Aldia, but this does not matter for entertaining: the battle is one of the hardest in the game, the result of a very careful study of the pattern combined with a considerable skill in making the best out of any chosen strategy, be it melee or distance.

Freja, the Beloved of the Duke – Dark Souls 2

The first time we saw it we He thought of Shelob and anyone who knows the slightest works of Tolkien comes immediately to reason. Freja is not an enemy difficult to beat, even in New Game advanced, yet there remained in mind and because spiders have always been one of the most typical fantasy archetypes, and because the setting choice is remarkable and is linked with a good chance to fate of the true Old Dragon. Mass guarding the Fire Primordial from Duke Tseldora, artistic detachment between the quarry and the Duke’s studio a few steps is the essence of passion that From Software titillates her fans.

Re Ivory Burned – Dark Souls 2

Surely you did not expect that either, yet the third DLC has the goodies considerable, both in artistic terms – the lands of the north have a timeless charm and hardly ever stop to exalt – is purely lore, who lives in this DLC its most detailed and accurate of the triptych. Manus was connected to the substrate of Dark Souls 2 already knew that and it is thanks to the oracle Alsanna we discover the past of King Ivory and his sacrifice. When the Chaos is born under his reign, he built Eleum Loyce, with the cathedral to curb the advance. The clash is very unique, because for the first time From Software makes us experience the thrill of a battle between armies. Freeing riders throughout the kingdom shall we be helped against the King and his followers in the battle in the Chaos, who, besides being made only by colors chosen for the occasion, also provides many ideas of conjunction between the two Dark Souls.

Gehrman, Prime Hunter – Bloodborne

Do not be surprised if we choose him as a boss fight more interesting. Despite being a combat option, the clash is wonderful for many reasons: the background of the enemy, and artistic director of the arena – we aim to force the finger – soundtrack reference. The work of Tsukasa Saitoh is excellent choice for instrumentation, melody, relevance with the flora accompanied by wind that makes up the framework of Gehrman. It is no coincidence that Saitoh has worked at King’s Field and Armored Core, all historical franchise of From Software. Fast, dynamic, angry, remember the battle for many ways the approach of Father Gascoigne, who obviously could not miss.

Father Gascoigne – Bloodborne

Perhaps the most representative of Bloodborne enemy and what better – and before all – it symbolizes fuorioso new combat system of Miyazaki. Forcing the player to have mastered the techniques of struggle such as dodge and counterattack, Gascoigne is imprinted above the background, ties with Yarnham and its objects. It is no coincidence that the Little Carillon do it to stop and think, allowing time for the player to hit him, so as not accidental that the overuse speed up its transformation into a beast. The history of the disease and the fate that has enveloped his family is the emblem of Yarnham.

Martyr Logarius – Bloodborne

In the Souls, virtually every confrontation with the Gargoyle takes on the roofs, spiers to delimit the style scene. In the fight against Martyr Logarius, From he draws inspiration and Ambienta the arena on top of the castle Forgot to Cainhurst, setting in shades of white with a strong air of Gothic. The Martyr is a story of courage and sacrifice of the leading performers, he led an assault against Vilesangue but a discovery made him completely desist from his goal. After wearing the Crown of Illusions made the roofs of the castle their home, defending with their lives the mysterious discovery. The uphill battle is made in the best way thanks to a sound accompaniment that is pressing, with a perfect blend of trombones, violins and choirs to draw one of the most inspired of all Bloodborne.
