The software is now a platform for business innovation for companies and, thanks to the emergence of true and its ecosystem of developers, the software industry is changing. These are the key findings of which will revolve around the Software Innovation Conference , organized by The Innovation Group Cefriel and, at the Polytechnic of Milan (Piazza Leonardo da Vinci 32 – Building 3 Floor Earth – Aula De Donato), for Tuesday May 26 .
The choice of location, the Politecnico di Milano , collaboration with Cefriel , Centre of Excellence for Innovation, Research and Training in the field ICT and the presence of prestigious speakers from public organizations and large private companies, make this unique event in Italy in dealing with the radical changes that touch the ‘ evolution of software, processes, methodologies , platforms and development environments and impacts that these changes will have on business models of traditional companies even more.
The day will open with a speech of welcome of the Professor Letizia Tanca , Head of Software section of the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering of the Politecnico di Milano.
Next, Ezio Viola , Co-Founder and Managing Director of The Innovation Group, Gianluigi Castelli , SDA Professor & amp; DEVO Lab Director and former CIO ENI, Alfonso Fuggetta , CEO of Cefriel and F ilippo Passerini , Officer on Special Assignment to the P & G President and CEO, will respond to the question raised by the first plenary session of the Conference: “Because the software is a key and strategic differentiation and value creation?” . A closing session will be held then a panel discussion of the same speakers.
In the second part of the morning will be held the session titled “The new Software Factory” , with the participation of Massimo Messina , Head of Global Ict, Unicredit and Francesco Sferlazza , Head of Agile Innovation Lab & amp; Intellectual Property Rights, Italtel, who will talk about architecture and enabling technologies, but also of processes and organizational models in software development.
Nelll ‘ last part of the morning Accenture and HP will present the innovative strategies of two of the most representative companies in the software industry: Gianluca Seconds , Managing Director – Advanced Technology & amp; Architecture Lead, Accenture, with a presentation entitled “The future of applications” and Guido Pezzin , Sales Manager, HP Software Big Data Division Italy, who will discuss “How to do business with Big Data in concrete “.
In the afternoon the work of Software Innovation Conference will continue with a panel discussion, chaired by Ezio Viola and Stefano Mainetti , CEO, PoliHUB Services, Fondazione Politecnico di Milano, titled “The software industry in Italy and the new digital ecosystem” , with the participation of the founders of the four High Tech Start-Up: Alexio Cassani , CEO and CTO – Stentle, Carlo Alberto Degli Atti , Co-founder and CEO – Thingle.me, Alexander De Large , CEO and Cofounder – GAROO, Nicola Peluchetti , Senior Web Developer – 10up.com.
followed by a plenary session entitled “What organization, processes and skills for productivity and innovation of software development: dall’Agile development to DevOps”, in which you take turns, as speakers, Alessandro Zanetti, Solution Architect – Automic Italy (DevOps ) and Silvia Strawberry, Deputy Head – Division Digital Knowledge, CEFRIEL (Agile Development).
The day will end with the intervention of Maurizio Brioschi, Head of Digital Enterprise Division, CEFRIEL – Politecnico di Milano, who will speak on the theme: “The opportunities and benefits of the API Economy through some case studies of” digital ecosystem “, with the description of two concrete cases: Expo 2015 and Cargo MAX.
