This company promises to the players to get the best performance from the games through smart technology that takes advantage of the graphics system more effectively. HiAlgo Boost, in fact, manage to change the resolution of images of the game based on the complexity of the scene and without the player noticing (a principle that you will remember also the basis of Rage).
If in a sequence occur many movements jointly with the presence of a high number of polygon objects, Boost reduces the resolution to maintain performance. When everything returns to be calmer, there are fewer movements and the scenario becomes less complex, the resolution is instead given to the original values.
According HiAlgo these changes can occur at very rapid, with the resolution that can change for each frame. It may be a good excuse to keep competitive even an old GPU, mainly addressed to those who want to play DirectX 9 with a notebook .
HiAlgo supports, in fact, several titles of past generation such as Counter-Strike: Go, World of Tanks, Team Fortress 2, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Far Cry 3, Borderlands 2, Tomb Raider, Dishonored, Mafia II and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The software can operate without that developers should modify the original code of their games.
Titles such as League of Legends and Dota 2 are supported in what is called “switch mode” , which is the player to freely decide when to switch from one resolution to another. It does so through the middle mouse button, which allows you to switch the resolution precisely 100% of the original to that 50%. This allows you to temporarily increase the performance without having to leave the game session.
HiAlgo provides a second feature called Chill . Essentially it is a frame limiter, useful if you want to prevent the notebook gaming overheat excessively (but of course, the same goes for a desktop system). Players can choose to play at 30fps or halve the frame rate. HiAlgo you can download for free.
HiAlgo is a small software company based in Sunnyvale, Silicon Valley, and was founded in 2011. It counts only 5 employees and its CTO and founder is Eugene Fainstain , the engineer that designed the image sensor that is now in more than 500 million smartphones Samsung. The co-founder of HiAlgo is Alex Tsodikov , who previously worked in the field of chip testing and product engineer.
