Friday, May 8, at 17.30, at the Multimedia Centre Piazza S. Peter and Paul in the village of Capocastello in Mercogliano, Castellarte International Festival of Street Artists IN starts the path towards the XXII edition with a conference entitled “The open source world. Open Hardware and opportunities.”
For many, perhaps, these terms mean little to the experts, however, are synonymous with endless possibilities applicable to the world of artisan productions that, thanks to the Arduino platform, can go and expand their options.
After the greetings of the President of Castellarte Francesco Dello Russo and Mayor of Mercogliano Massimiliano Caruso and the introduction of the designer of the meeting Claudio Ferraro in fact, they will report Gennaro Ragucci, Patrick Arminio, Domenico Orsi and Carmine De Rosa, moderated by the journalist Antonella Russoniello.
The report Ragucci Gennaro and Patrick Arminio is on “World open source and open hardware” to explain as the software “free” and free can actually help the world of craft. Arduino, in fact, it is an electronic card with a microcontroller and control circuitry useful for making fast prototypes. The second report in program, curated by Domenico Orsi will show examples of using these concepts of 3D printer in perspective craft 2.0 and perspectives that may result.

During the conference will be also announced the theme chosen for the XXIII edition of Castellarte that place from 24 to 26 July 2015 in the medieval village of Capocastello in Mercogliano.
