The software pirate does a roaring trade in Italy. With the operation “Underlicensing”, the military of the Special Protection of Intellectual Property of the Guardia di Finanza (in collaboration with the BSA in the area of ​​licensing) conducted inspections in 22 carpet companies in the fields of design, fashion, construction and architecture between Turin, Milan, Bergamo, Bologna, Udine, Rome, Pesaro, Florence and Bari. Thirteen companies were using, on their computers, 144 programs downloaded or duplicated in violation of the law on copyright. Among the programs most “pirated”, Adobe, Autodesk, Microsoft, Ashampo, Robert McNeel & amp; Associates.
