Finance companies in the controls, 60% use pirated software – Gazzetta di Modena

 ROME The 60% of companies used on their computer programs downloaded or duplicated in violation of current law on copyright. This was discovered by the financiers of the Special Unit protecting intellectual property who performed, in collaboration with experts from the Software Alliance BSA , twenty inspections in companies operating in the design , the fashion , the civil construction and industrial of ‘architecture with the based in different Italian regions.

 


 A total of 22 inspections were performed at Turin, Milan, Bergamo, Bologna, Udine, Rome, Pesaro, Florence and Bari , which made it possible to find out that only 9 of those subsidiary companies were in complete compliance with the license for the software installed on their computers.

 


 All the others were using pirated programs, including Adobe, Autodesk, Microsoft, Ashampo, Robert McNeel & amp; Associates . Once the checks, the financiers have reported 11 business leaders, discovered

144 software products used illegally, seized 44 personal computers and issued fines totaling more than 280 thousand Euros.
 


 Other controls will be made in the coming weeks and months. Attention then regularity of equipment they risk heavy fines.
